Quinton Black

Varsity Head Coach

Coach Black was born in Houston, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Concordia University Texas, where he earned two letters as a member of the men's basketball team. Coach Black served as a Team Captain his Senior year for Concordia. He began his coaching career at his Alma Mater, serving as Assistant Coach for three years. He was hired as the JV and Assistant Varsity Coach at Cedar Ridge in 2011. In 2013/2014, both the Varsity and JV were District 16-5A Champions. Coach Black stepped into the role of leading the program and taking over as the Head Varsity Coach. In the year 2016-2017, he drove the the Raiders to its first ever Play-off win. Coach Black is now going into his 5th year as the Head Coach of the Cedar Ridge Raiders.

David Wilson

Freshman A Coach & Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Wilson is originally from Midland, Texas. He has been coaching boys basketball at the high school level for the past sixteen years, including six years as the Head Coach at Paris Chisum High School. Most recently, Coach Wilson was the Assistant Varsity Coach at Palo Duro High School in Amarillo. Coach Wilson has been married for twelve years to his wife Erica, and they have a thirteen year old daughter, Daryn and a 2 year old son, Drew.. Coach Wilson completed his degree in Education at McMurry University where he concluded his career as a collegiate basketball player. He is now entering his 5th year as an assistant Coach for the Cedar Ridge Raiders.

Charles Boswell

Freshman B Coach

Coach Boswell is joining the Cedar Ridge staff from Hutto High School and is a Round Rock native. Coach Boswell is a graduate of Westwood High School. He attended Texas State University where he walked on to play football his freshman year in 2007. After graduating Texas State he went on to coach in Plano at Armstrong Middle School for one year where he coached and called the defense. The past 3 seasons he coached at Hutto High School. Coach Boswell has been married for 4 years to his wife , Erika, and they have one daughter Charley (1).

Michael Selvara

Junior Varsity Coach & Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Selvera joined the Cedar Ridge staff in 2021 and has been coaching 10 years. He graduated from Texas State with a major in History. He enjoys hanging out and relaxing during his free time.
